When an ex-firefighter tells you that what she wants most (to celebrate a very special birthday) is for you to capture a photo of her hanging upside down from a tree and chatting to her grandchildren, you just KNOW it’s going to be a fun session.
Family photography should be a celebration
I had the BEST time with this gorgeous, fun family over the course of an afternoon on the common.
There was tree climbing and lots of games. But most of all there was joy and laughter and living in the moment and embracing just about EVERYTHING wonderful about being surrounded by the people you love most in the world.
An extended family photoshoot is about capturing authentic moments
The things I love most about my job is capturing authentic memorable moments full of genuine emotion. Which is why although we did some posed photos, a large part of this session was documentary. This is a family that spends a lot of time outdoors and I just know in years to come, this family will look back at these photos and remember playing Stuck In The Mud and climbing trees and building forts and just enjoying an afternoon outdoors.
