Want to see what a shoot with me looks like? Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at two of my London shoots from last year…
Some frequently asked questions…
Where are you based?
I live in Tooting in south west London. I photograph families who live locally to me, others from different areas of London, and of course those adventurers visiting our capital city from all over the world (Australia, USA, South Africa, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Saudia Arabia, Europe…. the list goes on).
Do you have a studio?
No - I do not have a studio. I work on location, either at your home or an outdoor location of your choice, and I photograph using natural light.
What if my children won’t pose for the camera?
I don’t want your children to be anything other than themselves infront of my camera. I don’t need them to sit still or ‘be good’, I have a 4-year-old and a 5-year-old who point-blank refuse to pose for me, I’ve become an expert in taking photos on the run and I have a lot of tricks to make sure that I get those lovely, connected family photos that you are after.
Toddler tantrums and momentary meltdowns routinely happen at almost every single session I have (and sometimes that's just the dads!)
It’s my job to make sure you get the kinds of photos you see in my portfolio and I never want you to worry if your child or baby becomes upset. If it happens, we’ll take a break, distract them and make sure they are happy before continuing. I always recommend having a snack and a favourite toy on hand for this very purpose.
I’m worried about how I’ll look in the photos
You know what, this is something I worry about every time I book my own family photos. But here’s the thing, I am a professional photographer and I know exactly how to pose you in the best light, giving you tips on how to stand/sit so you look your very best. As a professional photographer it is my job to guide you and make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed.
How do I book a session with you?
Firstly you need to make sure you LOVE what you see on my website, because these are the kinds of images you’ll be getting in your final gallery. Then you can fill out my contact form, or give me a call on 07881853621 where we can have an informal chat to discuss your needs. Please bear in mind weekends are usually booked up 6-8 weeks in advance. Newborn sessions ideally should take place within the first 2 to 6 weeks of their lives. Please book during pregnancy to avoid disappointment.
I’d like to book a session with my extended family, how does that work?
My sessions are designed to work with families of up to six people. It takes me extra time to take and edit the photos of additional family members so I charge an extra £25 per person for extended family sessions.
Do you travel?
Absolutely! I love photographing families all around the world and have travelled abroad to Spain and South Africa for photoshoots for families. I am also available for travel within the UK. If you want to book a travel shoot, let me know and we can chat about how it works.
I want to book an outdoor session, what if it rains?
I am used to working in all types of weather conditions. The only times I will reschedule a session is when it is forecast for heavy rain. I do ask you to be flexible on the day of your shoot as sometimes we may have to adjust the time we had planned to avoid a shower or two!
What if we need to reschedule?
It always happens at the worst times doesn’t it? Chicken pox will strike out of the blue, or you are faced with an unexpected family emergency. It’s never a problem to reschedule a shoot with me, all I ask is that you give me at least 48 hours notice where possible. Of course sometimes I get ill too, it happens rarely but if I do need to re-schedule I will let you know at the earliest possible opportunity.
