Ready To Take The Leap?
Honest business education for self-made photographers.
—— A system that works for you ——
Built in my business. Proven by my results. Taught to you.
Get your week back
I'll show you how to build a strong business foundation, and then put AI to work on your marketing.
These are systems built on foundations that hold, not viral hacks.
So the admin that used to swallow your evenings takes a few hours, and you're back to the photography you love (and the family you built this dream job around).
—— Meet Your Mentor ——
Hi! I'm Kirsty…
For fifteen years I was a journalist. Reporting on London crime and politics, chasing down exclusives and living on the adrenaline of being behind the newsdesk.
I was a chief reporter who was praised by name in Parliament, a sub-editor working for The Times, The Observer and then managing Metro Newspaper’s digital editions.
I knew how to write words that made people feel and act. What I DIDN’T know was how to make my dream career fit around two small children.
So at 34, I quit. I picked up a camera in desperation and started a photography business with absolutely NO idea what I was doing.
I then spent the next nine years figuring it out the hard way. How to get clients. How to get found on Google. How to build a business that bends to my family instead of against it. And over a thousand shoots later? It does!
And this year I did something slightly terrifying: I went through nine years of my own business data — every booking, every enquiry, every pound in and out. And I learned a lot!
I learned that past clients say yes nine times out of ten — and I hadn't emailed them in years. I learned my Instagram bookings were my highest conversions (and I didn’t need to go viral to get them!) and I learned how much I am actually earning from each marketing platform.
That's what I teach: how to find out what's actually true in your business — and what to do about it.
Everything in The Leap comes from my own evidence — my real numbers, my real mistakes, my real results. Not theory borrowed from someone. If I haven't done it, I don't teach it.

Which Photographer Are You?
—— Starting out: The First Leap
You're building from scratch — self-taught, determined, and not sure what comes first.
Pricing, contracts, a website, an ideal client, being findable on Google… nobody hands you a map for this bit. I know, because nobody handed me one either.
The full beginner journey — Launch Ready, Get Found, Scale & Sustain — opens with the founding cohort in January 2027, and the waitlist is where the best pricing and first spaces go.
Join the list and I’ll send you some useful freebies to help you out while you wait.
And if you want a headstart on your marketing Find Your Ideal Client and Creating Compelling Instagram Captions are the perfect place to start!
A
— Established & Growing: The Next Leap
You're regularly booking clients — but the marketing is taking over your life.
The photography is the easy part. It's everything around it: Instagram, the algorithm, the website, SEO, emails you keep meaning to send. You look like you've got it all together (your feed certainly says so) — but the marketing swallows your evenings, and the thing you started this business for keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the list.
I built The Leap just for you. Systems that put AI to work on your own words and your own numbers — so the heavy lifting gets done, and you get back to the photography.
My content marketing mini modules (below) are the perfect place to start. And if you like what you see, Join The Waitlist to be a part of the Content Marketing System founding cohort which goes live in January 2027 (at a special founding price).

Start Where You're Stuck
There's no one right way in. Every photographer's business creaks in a different place — so start with the thing that's costing you the most sleep, and go from there.
“I post and post, but nothing turns into enquiries”
“I’m not sure who I’m marketing to, when I write posts”
“My Instagram captions are fine, polite, a bit beige”
“People are asking AI for a photographer — and it's not citing me”
“AI keeps handing me copy that sounds robotic (it isn’t me!)”
“It’s 9pm and I’ve got nothing to post, again”
"I'm invisible on Google and I don't know where to start"
"I don’t know how to make a website that converts"

Photography Business Mini Courses — Start Where You're Stuck
Single lessons for single problems. One stuck place, one honest fix, all in just one afternoon — built from the exact methods running my own business right now.
Each mini course stands on its own. Taken together they build on each other — which is why they're also sold as bundles.
Start here · Finding your feet
1
Identify your Ideal Client: Your Why & Your Who
Know why you do this — and exactly who it's for. The foundation everything else gets built on.
Who it's for: photographers finding their feet — including the ones who haven't booked a single client yet. If you're right at the start, this is exactly where to begin.

Build Your Brand Book

Getting found online · The Google foundation
SEO Success for Photographers
Learn what your future clients actually type into Google — and put those words where they count. No code, no jargon, nothing you have to look up.
Who it's for: photographers who are invisible on Google. Whether you've never touched SEO or your site used to rank and quietly slipped down, you start in the same place — and I'll be honest with you about how long the climb takes.
£99
Getting found online · The new front door
7
Found by AI
Show up in AI search — without losing Google.
Who it's for: photographers whose clients are starting to ask an AI assistant instead of scrolling. Almost nobody is teaching this yet, and none of it is technical. Take it alone or after the SEO course — it assumes you know nothing about either.
£99

Your website · Turning visitors into bookings
Wonderful Websites that turn Browsers into Buyers
Write every page of your website yourself, in your own voice — and turn the people who land on it into people who book you.
Who it's for: photographers whose websites look lovely and don't convert. Whether you've got a site that's quietly not working, or a blank page and no idea what to put on it, you'll finish with every page written — homepage, service pages, About, pricing, contact. Every word will speak directly to your ideal client and position you as the photographer to book.

—— Bundles ——
Bundle up — and save
The courses are built to feed each other: your ideal client shapes your captions, your brand book deepens your plan.
Get Found is built as a pair — the SEO course ends where Found by AI begins.
And if you need a website that actually converts, you will want all three in Finally Found and Actually Booked. Bundle them and do the sequence properly.
The Whole Path
All five courses
All five courses, in the order they're built to be done — an honest read of your Instagram, identifying your ideal client, your brand book installed, the caption craft, and the weekly plan that pulls it all together. One path from “what on earth do I post?” to knowing exactly what today's post is — and why.
£169 (save £62)
The Three Foundations
Your Ideal Client · Build Your Brand Book · Hook, Value, Ask
Know exactly who you're talking to, build the brand book that makes AI write as you, and learn the caption craft that makes every word land. The three foundations that cure beige, forgettable content — and everything you build afterwards feeds on them.
£129 (save £40)
Finally Found on Google & AI
SEO Success for Photographers · Found by AI
Learn what your future clients type into Google and where those words need to live on your site — then learn how to become one of the names an AI assistant actually recommends. The two halves of getting found, built as a pair: the SEO course ends exactly where Found by AI begins. One is the foundation that takes time and pays you for years; the other is the front door almost nobody is teaching yet.
£175 (save £23)
Finally Found and Actually Booked
SEO Success for Photographers · Found by AI · Wonderful Websites: Turn Browsers into Buyers
Getting found is only half the job. Learn what your future clients type into Google and where those words need to live on your site, then how to become one of the names an AI assistant actually recommends — AND ALSO how to write pages that turn all those new visitors into actual bookings. The complete journey, in order: found on Google, described by AI, and words that do the selling once someone finally arrives.

—— Founding cohort · January 2027 ——
The Leap — the full journey
The complete path, whichever photographer you are. For those building from scratch: Launch Ready, Get Found and Scale & Sustain — from “is this really a business?” to clients coming to you consistently. For those already booking but drowning in the marketing: the flagship cohort, built around the AI content system already running my own business, growing into the full marketing system as the results come in. Both open together in January, ten years since I started out — as founding cohorts, at the best pricing there will ever be, with a real say in how they're built.
—— Receipts, not theory ——
Proof, Not Promises
No borrowed testimonials. No stock-photo success stories. My founding photographers are working through these courses right now, and their honest reviews will live here as they finish. Until then, here's the evidence this teaching stands on:
1,000+ shoots. 10 years.
One business.
Everything I teach comes from the heart of a dedicated photographer who built a six-figure photography business that's actually running day to day — I photograph around 150 families, couples and proposals across London every year. And I absolutely LOVE my job. Want a peek behind the scenes?
Come and say hi on Instagram
60+ Google reviews.
All five stars.
Earned one delighted client at a time, since I started out. Social proof is a vital part of your business — and the system I use to gather these reviews is one of the things I teach.
2,000 Instagram followers.
Real, paying bookings.
You don't need a huge number of followers on social media — you need the ones already there to book you. Over half the people who enquire through my Instagram go on to become clients - from an account most gurus would call too small to bother with. It's NOT about going viral. It's about giving every post a job.
—— Join the list ——
Not Ready for a Course? Completely Fine.
Join the list anyway. You'll get first look at every free tool as it's released, honest notes from inside my own business — the wins and the wrong turns — and first-through-the-door pricing whenever a course opens.
No spam. No daily "just checking in" emails. I'm far too busy on shoots for that.

Great Questions, Honest Answers
-
The Leap is the photography-business education arm of Kirsty Hamilton Photography — a set of practical courses teaching photographers how to run the business behind the camera, not just take the pictures. It's led by Kirsty, a working London photographer of 10 years, and it teaches you to put Claude to work on your marketing — every method drawn from her own business, proven on real numbers, not borrowed theory.
-
These photography business courses are for photographers — building a business that has to fit around family life. Some are already booking clients but drowning in marketing and admin and want their time back; others are earlier on, building from scratch and unsure where to start. Different starting points, same aim: a business that bends to your life AND family, not against it.
-
No — you don't need to be full-time, established, or even earning yet. These courses meet you where you are, whether you're still building a portfolio around a day job and small children, or already booking clients and wanting to grow. Kirsty started with a camera and no idea what she was doing, so nothing here assumes you've got it all figured out.
-
You use Claude as a team that runs on your own words — never as a machine pretending to be you. The Leap teaches you, inside Claude, to feed it your real voice, stories and client language first, so what comes out sounds like you because it started as you. Claude takes the heavy lifting — the drafts, the admin, the grunt work — while you stay the author of every word.
-
Not when it's set up properly. Generic content is what you get when you ask AI cold, with nothing to work from — so it reaches for the blandest, most average version. The Leap teaches the opposite: you build Claude on your own voice, stories and numbers first, so it writes from your material, not the internet's. Same tool, completely different writer — and that gap is the whole method.
-
The starter lessons are short and self-paced — most take an afternoon, and you fit them around everything else. The bigger, live programme is built for parents: around three to five hours a week, every call recorded, with catch-up weeks built in for when life gets loud. Nothing here assumes you've got twenty spare hours — because Kirsty never did either.
-
The starter lessons are small, focused and self-paced — one problem solved properly in an afternoon, like auditing your Instagram or getting your numbers straight. The full courses (and the live cohort) go wider and deeper, walking you through the whole transformation step by step — much of it hands-on in Claude — with community and support alongside. Start small to see how Kirsty teaches; go deeper when you're ready.
-
The starter lessons are priced to be genuinely affordable at either £27, £35 or £99 — a small, low-risk way to see how Kirsty teaches before you commit to anything bigger. Pricing for the full courses and the founding cohort is announced to the waitlist first, so the people closest to the launch hear it before anyone. Join the waitlist and you'll be first to know, with founding-member pricing when it opens.
-
The founding cohort — the first live run of the flagship programme — starts in January 2027, timed to Kirsty's ten-year business anniversary and the quiet season when photographers finally have room to work on the business. Founding members are the first group through: they get founding-member pricing, shape the programme as it runs, and go through it alongside Kirsty herself rather than a recording.
-
No — a big following isn't the lever, and Kirsty's own account is the proof. Hers is a modest, steady account that's never had a viral moment; it grows by a couple of dozen new followers a month. What it does do is convert — turning the enquiries it gets into real bookings more than half the time. These courses teach you to build that: not a huge audience, a working one.
-
Everything is taught from Kirsty's own business, with the receipts to prove it — not recycled theory or a formula she's never run herself. Most photography business courses are certificate mills or camera schools; this one shows you the real numbers, the wins and the expensive mistakes, and teaches you to build your own AI team inside Claude from your actual words. Proven, not promised: nothing taught here she hasn't done herself.
-
Yes — there are eight free tools, and every one is a finished thing you can use today rather than a teaser for something paid. Can AI Find You? is a ten-minute test showing what Claude and ChatGPT actually say when someone asks them to recommend a photographer. The Real Cost Calculator works out what a single shoot costs you to deliver, once your time, kit, travel and the taxman have had their share. Get Bookings NOW is seven ways to fill your diary this month. You'll find all eight, plus the sign-up for The Leap list, at kirstyhamiltonphotography.com/kirsty-hamilton-education-free-resources — and where AI's involved it runs on Claude's free plan, so starting costs you nothing.
The Leap is business education built around real life — school runs, nap times, editing at the kitchen table after bedtime. It's the teaching I wish someone had handed me nine years ago, from someone who's actually done it: less marketing overwhelm, more of the photography you love.
