Then I set Claude up from scratch while you watch. You don't build anything as you go. The workbook sits right under the video, so you watch first, then make a coffee and work through it at your own pace.

What is Set Up Claude Properly?
Set Up Claude Properly is a free training video and workbook for photographers from Kirsty Hamilton, a London photographer and former journalist. In the first half of the video I show you how I run my photography business with Claude, inside my real account. In the second half I show you how to set Claude up from scratch, step by step. The workbook then takes you through the setup at your own pace. You sign up free with your name and email.
Is it really free?
Yes. You sign up with your name and email to watch, and that's it.
Do I need a paid Claude plan?
No. It works on Claude's free plan: you don't need to pay a penny to start. The paid plan buys you longer sittings, not different results.
Do I build along while I watch?
No. Watch first, then work through the workbook at your own pace, pausing as often as you like.
I've never used AI. Is this too advanced?
No. It starts from creating the account, and every step is in plain English.
Does it matter what I photograph, or where I am?
No. The setup is the same whatever you shoot and wherever you work. My examples come from my London photography business, but every step works for yours.
Will you try to sell me something?
At the end of the video I tell you about my paid next step, Build Your Brand Book. Nothing is sold before you've watched, and you don't have to buy anything to use the setup.
What if a menu has moved?
Claude's menus change from time to time. I checked every step in October 2026, and the workbook tells you what to type to ask Claude where a setting has gone.
