Timing: 10am to 12:30pm

What you’ll learn
This is the follow-on course for anyone who has taken my beginners Mobile Magic Course or my Get off Auto camera workshop.
However it is suitable for anyone who has a good knowledge of how to use their camera or mobile phone app and wants to focus more on composing great photos.
In these photowalks we will be out in one of London’s vibrant areas and will focus on:
Working with the available natural light
Incorporating colour into our work
Work on basic composition and learn more advanced composition techniques as we walk around historic London.
Workshop FAQs
Have a question? Find the answer here or send me an email and I'll get right back to you!
-
The workshops will go ahead in all weather, so do keep an eye on the forecast and bring weather appropriate clothing.
-
For London workshops, we take a slow stroll along the Southbank, not much walking involved and suitable for all levels.
There is much more walking in Paris - and while we will take a leisurely pace, you can expect to walk around 5km to 6km during the workshop
-
Workshops are limited to between six and eight attendees. This allows for a great group dynamic as well as plenty of one-to-one time and the opportunity to really dig into our individual creativity.
-
You will want to make sure your phone is fully charged and that you have your cable if the battery drains quickly (we'll obviously be using it a lot!).
You may also want to bring a pen and notebook to make additional notes.
Comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing are a must!
-
We'll start our workshop at the Festival Bar and Kitchen in the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre
The closest tube/train to the venue is Waterloo.
-
The Eurostar is a great option. It gets you right into the centre of Paris in just over 2 hours.
Advance tickets can be purchased for as little as £39 or £44 each way. And I will let you know when those are available.
Otherwise international flights into Charles De Gaulle airport are the next best option with trains direct to Gare du Nord or Gare d'lest in Paris in around 30min.
The workshop is structured so you can get a train out in the morning and then back that same evening. But if you want to stay over and enjoy the weekend in Paris then you should definitely do so! (I won't tell!)
-
After the initial ‘cooling off’ period of 14-days after the date of your deposit payment, refunds will not be available. You can transfer your ticket to another date and time.

“I cannot recommend Kirsty’s Photography Course highly enough! It was perfectly pitched and professional, but also relaxed and ridiculously fun. So much so that I’m about to book the next one!”
