What NOT to do during your London Proposal Photoshoot by Big Ben

If you are planning on popping THE question, is there a more iconic place book a London proposal photoshoot than Big Ben?

It will definitely make the perfect backdrop to an incredible memory you will treasure for a lifetime.

But if you are planning on a surprise London proposal photoshoot infront of Big Ben - do me one favour: PLEASE inform your photographer so they know what is going on!

This lovely groom-to-be organised a surprise photoshoot during a once-in-a-lifetime trip to London with his girlfriend.

But what didn’t quite come across in the booking process was the fact that he was also going to propose.

So there I was, waiting on Westminster Bridge for the couple to arrive with a bouquet of gorgeous roses at the ready.

I managed to accomplish an incredibly slick bouquet hand-off, as my lovely client walked past me. And then I realised that the flowers weren’t the only surprise, when he got down on one knee in the middle of the steps leading down to the Thames riverside, to pop the question.

Thankfully I figured out what was going on straight away and was already camera-ready when our prospective groom pulled the ring box out of his pocket.

And this beautiful, emotional, GENUINE reaction of absolute shock and joy?! Absolutely worth it! What a fantastic joy-filled afternoon with these two!

What incredible memories they have to treasure for years to come!

Is Big Ben a good place for a proposal photoshoot?

The area around Big Ben is always very busy. If you can make it there early in the morning, we’ll have the area mostly to ourselves. But don’t worry if you can’t - there are good location options for your proposal even at the busiest of times. And I’m happy to advise you on these.
